I might be going to Barnes & Noble today! That is my favroite book store!
But, I know thye have mini dolls. My mom MAY let me and my sister each get one AND a book (I'm leaning towards Lights, Camera, Samantha!)for our recital next week as an early congratulatory gift. I don't know which ones they have. I only remember Felicity and Elizabeth. Nellie was probably there too, but I've narrowed down my choices.
I want either Elizabeth, Samantha, or Nellie. I don't know if they still do it, but online they have mini Nellie (she comes with the little doll sized version of Nellie's Promise) but she also came with the little phamplet of "Lights, Camera, Samantha!", all for Around $16, when all the others are $18...
But which one is better? Meaning by hair, clothes, cuteness, etc.
What I don't really like about Sam is how, since, her eyes are painted on, they look have closed, but Nellie's and Elizabeth's look wide open!
Thanks in advance for any opinons!
ETA: I'm also asking because we all know catoulouge pictures are decieving...

My daughter has Nellie, Samantha and Kit. I don't think any of them look "real" but she likes them. I do like Nellie's dress the best. I'm a sucker for a little girl in light blue.

I have the 6 glass eyed mini dolls as well as mini Kit and mini Kaya. I love them all! I think they are all much cuter in person than in the catalog. I'm glad you'll get to pick yours out at the store, my first Kit came with VERY fluffy hair that refused to be tamed! and a broken sandle so AG sent me a new one and she is much better!
Good luck and keep us posted on who you decide to get!

I have Mini Kit and Mini Nellie. Mini Kit is adorable; Mini Nellie is cute too, but I honestly don't think her face is nearly as cute. Her clothes are much neater, though! Check Kirsten's Adventures if you'd like pictures of them (the most recent or second-most recent, depending on when you read, are the best bets for Mini Nellie).
The only other mini I've seen IRL was Mini Kaya, and she was just beautiful.
(I ordered Mini Nellie from Amazon and she was supposed to come with trading cards and maybe another book but she didn't. No real loss; it's not like I need that stuff cluttering my place. But I thought I'd let you know. I guess your boxes would be clearly labelled though!)

Thanks for the opinons guys, but I ended up getting Samantha!
I wasn't planning on getting her. Surprisingly at a stroke of luck, they only had 3 choices, the 3 I wanted! Unfortunatley, that kind of made it harder...
But, I got Samantha! She had the sweetest disposition out of the three. She had the calmest looking face and was just GEOURGEOUS!
Good thing my mom was with me too. She pointed out that since Sam was my first doll, I should get her. Glad I did!
I took pictures of the girls discovering mini Sam, I'll post it once I'm finished.
P.S: Kenshinchan, I LOOOOOVE Kirtsen's Adventures! Mini Nellie is so sweet! I hope nothing else bad happens to her!

Thanks, American_girl_forever, and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing your Mini Samantha's adventures. (That's great that you got her; one of the main reasons I didn't is because a lot of the online pictures are not that attractive, and I didn't want to get one that looked messed-up. But since you picked your own out I'm sure she's lovely!)

Kenshinchan, I really enjoyed your last installment of Kirsten's Adventures. Kirsten, Mini Kit and Mini Nellie all have such different personalities and they make for such an interesting doll family.

(My evil side did find it funny that Kirsten used Mini Kit's blanket as a handkerchief. That was mean...but still very funny!)
